The saga of the Raghoji Business began with Ramchandrappa Raghoji in Gulbarga, Karnataka where the roots of the family’s agricultural grains and seed business were firmly planted. Srinivas Rao Raghoji inherited the ancestral wholesale grains and seeds business and diversified into oilseeds and petrochemicals. In the 1960s, the town of Wadi near Gulbarga in Karnataka was a hub for cement companies. Due to limited transportation options, the cement companies were in dire need of a reliable service provider. Shrinivas Rao stepped in when he forged a partnership with the Associated Cement Company (ACC) at Shahabad, initiating the logistics journey.
